Skylar has been waiting all week to go to the movies with her friends. They are going to see the fable, “The Greedy Dog.”

Once, there was a hungry dog.

The dog got a piece of meat and started walking home.

As the dog was crossing the bridge, she looked over into the water and saw another dog holding a piece of meat in its mouth, too.

The dog was greedy and opened her mouth to take the “other” dog’s meat. The dog’s meat fell into the water.

The dog realized it was just her reflection in the water, and she had lost her meat.

Skylar loved the movie. She thought the dog learned a very good lesson. Do you know what lesson the greedy dog learned?

The dog learned not to be greedy, but instead be happy with what it had.
