The math class has had such a wonderful year! They learned so much and can’t wait to show what they know.

The classmates want to go over telling time to the hour, half hour, 10 minutes, and 5 minutes!

When we tell time to the hour, the minute hand is on the 12 and the hour hand is on the hour--the number before the two dots.

When we tell time to the half hour, the minute hand is on the 6 and the hour hand is between two numbers. The smaller number is the hour and is the number before the two dots.

When we tell time to 10 minutes, the minute hand is on 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12. The hour hand moves between two numbers. The smaller number is the hour and is the number before the two dots. When we tell time to 5 minutes, the minute hand stops at each number. The hour hand is between two numbers. The smaller number is the hour and is the number before the two dots. Are you ready to help the class tell time?
