What is your aesthetic?

Lesson Content Banner

Has it changed?

Now it is time to write your final artist statement. Do you remember the statement you wrote way back in Lesson 1? Go back and find it. Then, take some time to compare it to the work that you created throughout this class. Answer the following questions:

  1. Is your aesthetic the same? (Do you still think the same things are beautiful, or has your opinion changed?)
  2. Are there other techniques that you would like to add to your artist statement? (Is there a new medium that you now enjoy, or have you discovered a new technique that has helped your art skills grow?)
  3. How has your art changed throughout this class? Have you developed new skills or improved the skills you already had?

Now that you know what kind of work should go into your portfolio, it is time to start assembling your pieces! Click on the tabs to go through the process of putting together your digital portfolio.

Once you have reviewed your presentation, submit it to your teacher.
