Look in your house or school for a hallway view or look for a downtown street for a view that shows a diminishing of sizes as buildings are seen from a corner view.
Draw this scene in freehand pencil line on white paper. (Do not copy a picture. Do not use a ruler).
- First of all, understand at what level are your eyes.
- Then show the lines above that level slanting downward. (Show the
lines of the buildings or room. Do not show eye level lines of other
perspective-construction lines in your drawing).
- Show the lines below that level slanting upward.
Remember that only the parallel, horizontal lines of buildings will narrow down in this way. The diagonal lines of sloping roofs will not follow the same slants.
Use 9" by 12" drawing paper a draw large enough to fill the 9” by 12” space. Make it as interesting and accurate as you can.
Buildings seen in flat front view, parallel with the picture plane.
Buildings seen from a corner angle.
Once you have completed your project, scan or photograph it and submit it to your teacher.
