Look for an outdoor scene of buildings and yard, where several different textures can be found close together, such as a barn and its surroundings, a junk yard, a tool shed, or a garage and their surroundings.
Draw this outdoor area in pencil, working for as realistic a picture of the different textures of each object as you can. Work in a picture area 10” x 6 1/2”, on white drawing paper.
Decide for yourself whether the group of objects you are drawing fits better in a horizontal or in a vertical shape.
Once you have completed your project, scan or photograph it and submit it to your teacher.
