The Fish Basket Goddess - Your Turn
It's your turn to relate the story. Can you do it Chinese folk-style?

Steps:
-
Retell the story. The Chinese people often use dance and
movement to tell stories. Use big movements or dance,
silks or ribbons and an optional mask (did you make one
last week in the optional project?). The Chinese people
use their masks in performance to indicate change of
character or to denote specific parts of the story. Bring
in friends or other family members! Add music to the
performance, and make your own Ancient Chinese
festival!
Using the audio recording software of your choice, record yourself retelling this story out loud in your own words. After you have completed your recording successfully, send the audio file to your teacher.
-
Experiential (optional) work: Coin tossing game. This was
a game children often played at market; you can substitute
stones or anything you wish but don't use balls because
they will bounce out of the basket.
- Lay a basket on the floor.
- Stand back and try to toss pennies into the basket. Whoever gets the most in the basket, gets to keep them!
