A famous patriotic landmark in Texas is the San Jacinto Battleground State Historic Site in Houston. A 570-foot-tall stone monument on the site commemorates the battle of April 12, 1836. Also on this site is the San Jacinto Museum of History and the battleship, U.S.S. Texas, which served in both World War I and World War II. Print an image of the San Jacinto Battleground Monument and paste it into your scrapbook. Or you can draw and color a picture of it. Write a caption under the picture that includes the following information: name of landmark, city of location, and date of the battle. 
Six flags flew over Texas during its history. These flags represent the six nations that reigned over Texas. In the first box on the second scrapbook page, print and paste images of the three flags below. Or you can draw and color them. For each flag, note the years for when that nation ruled Texas.
