1. Tara had collected 120 box tops, but her mom made her give half of them to her little brother for his school. She got 39 more from her grandmother and 10 more from her neighbor. When she took all of her box tops to school she put them in the class jar. The jar had 576 box tops in it already.

2. Thomas led an aluminum can and bottle collection at his church. His mom helps him take the cans to one recycling center and the bottles to another each week. Thomas had collected 966 cans and 58 bottles. His teacher gave him 76 bottles and 23 cans. His mom collected 28 bottles and 12 cans from work and his step dad gave him 32 cans and 44 bottles that he had collected from work. How many cans did Thomas take to the recycling center and how many bottles did he take to the other recycling center?
