How do caves form underground?

A cave or cavern is a natural, underground space large enough for a human to enter. Caves form naturally by the weathering of rock and often extend deep underground. Follow these steps with your worksheet to learn more!

1. Look at pictures on the internet or in books of many different sizes and types of caves. 

2. Draw a picture in your worksheet of a cave with stalagmites and stalactites. What kinds of animals live in caves? Draw them as well.  

3. Write a short paragraph about caves in your worksheet.
