Look at your computer sitting on top of the desk. The computer is exerting a force on the desk, and the desk is exerting an equal force on the computer. These are balanced forces, because neither the computer or the desk move.
Do you think kicking a soccer ball is an example of a balanced or an unbalanced force? That's right--it would be an unbalanced force, because the ball moves when the force is exerted on it.
