How do plants and animals respond to changes in the seasons?

The mornings are cool when the sun first rises, but the air becomes warmer as the sun ascends higher in the sky. Then, as the sun descends toward the western horizon, the air becomes cooler.
This also happens with the seasons. Spring is like the early morning, summer is like noon, fall is like the late afternoon, and winter is like the evening.
