Complete these activities to explore aquatic biomes.
1. Visit as many bodies of water as you can. If possible, swim in a lake, fish at a pond, wade in the streams, and vacation at the ocean or a bay. Observe the differences in these bodies of water, and examine and appreciate the plants and animals that live there.
2. If you cannot visit any bodies of water right now, find information about them at your library.
3. In your Main Lesson Book, write about what you have learned. List the characteristics of the different bodies of water, as well as the plants and animals that live in each one. Write a story that takes place in one of the freshwater biomes.
