Look for clues of where animals have made their homes. Some animals--such as rabbits, moles, and groundhogs--make their homes in the ground. Others build nests in trees. Beavers build their homes on the edges of rivers and streams. Tree holes are great places to look, as are caves and bushes. Inside your garage, you might see evidence of a mouse home in a pair of old shoes! If you have trouble finding an animal's home in nature, go to your library and look at books of animals.
