It's time to show what you know!

Now that you know how, start preparing to interview your partner.  Simply follow the steps we covered in the presentation:

  • Do your research - Write a paragraph reflecting on your work to turn in.
  • Decide on a purpose - Write a concise statement explaining the focus and the angle.
  • Prepare your questions - Use the techniques and include open-ended and closed questions where appropriate. Include 10-15 questions.

Review your interview questions and eliminate any wording that seems loaded or leading.

  • When you make a change, include the original question and the improved version, and note the changes by underlining them.
  • If you do no make any changes to the questions, note that on your assignment and resubmit the questions.

Compile follow-up and wrap-up questions.

  • This is the last step before you are ready to jump in with your first real interview!
  • Just to make sure you are ready, go back to your questions and look for places you can anticipate follow-up questions.
  • Add 1-2 wrap-up questions.

Submit your complete list of questions.
