My most frequent color is ocean blue!
What am I?
Did you guess the answer? It’s a globe! Have you ever seen a globe? A globe is a round, three-dimensional sphere, like a basketball. Three dimensional, or 3-D, means that it’s not flat. A globe is a model of Earth. It shows land and oceans. Globes can be different sizes and colors. Just like on a map, water on a globe is usually shown as blue.
Let’s spin the globe around! We can stop it at any continent. Click on the pictures in the slideshow to see a globe from different angles. Which continents do you see on each slide?
How are Earth and a globe the same? They are both round. When you are looking at a globe, it’s like looking at a mini Earth.
