Do you know what the compass rose represents on a map?

On a map, the north arrow always points to the North Pole. The south arrow always points toward the South Pole.
N, NNE, NE, ENE, E.
E, ESE, SE, SSE, S.
SSW, SW, WSW, W.
WNW, NW, NNW, N.
See how fast you can recite it. Then recite it the other way--counterclockwise. (You can look at the compass rose while you are first memorizing.)
Draw a compass rose and label all four directions. Add NE, NW, SE, and SW. If you want to add the others, you certainly may.
