You know how people make money, which is usually by working, or having a job. So what kind of job do you want to have when you grow up? You will get the chance to explore some super cool jobs in a variety of industries as you start thinking about what you may might want to do when you're older.

An industry is a group of businesses or manufacturers that produce a particular type of good or service. Some industries you may have heard of are agriculture, construction, communication, business, education, finance, government, health care, technology, transportation, public safety, and manufacturing. Within each industry are many different jobs that require a variety of skills.

Agriculture, Food, and Resources Industries Do you like plants, animals, and trees? Do you think it would be fun to explore Earth's natural resources? If you said yes, then one of these industries might be for you. Some of the jobs in these industries include farmers, landscapers, veterinarians, natural resource specialists, and forest workers. Construction and Architect Industries Do you like to build things? Do you like to draw or design things? If you said yes, then one of these industries might be something that interests you. Some jobs in the construction and architech industries include construction workers, architects, designers, electricians, and painters. Communications, Arts, and Technology Industries Are you artistic? Do you like to take pictures or videos? Do you like to be in front of a video camera? If so, one of these industries might be perfect for you. Some jobs in these industries include camera operator, video and web designers, TV producers, filmmakers, actors, radio broadcasters, and fashion designers. Business Industry Would you like to be your own boss one day? Do you like to work with math, grammar, people, computers, or money? Are you organized and neat? If you find any of these things interesting, you might like the business industry. Some jobs in the business industry include chief operating officers (CEO), managers, receptionists, accountants, human resources, and bookkeepers. Education and Training Industries Do you like to help people learn new things? Do you like working with others? If so, you might like working in one of these industries. Do you like to work with computers and lots of information? If you do, then this industry might be perfect for you. If you do, then this industry might be for you. Some jobs in the finance industry include bank tellers, cashiers, accountants, insurance agents, and treasurers. Government Industry Do you like to work with people? Do you want to help make the city, state, or country you live in a better place? If so, this industry might fit you perfectly. Some jobs in this industry include mayor, highway maintenance worker, military officer, mail carrier, city manager, and tax collector. Hospitality Industry Are you an excellent cook? Do you like sporting events and traveling? If so, you might like the hospitality industry. Jobs such as chefs, bakers, hotel managers, and flight attendants are all part of this industry. Health Care Industry Do you think it would be fun to help people stay healthy? Do you like to take care of people when they are sick? If so, this industry might be one that interests you. Some of the jobs in this industry include doctors, nurses, surgeons, dentists, and pharmacists. Technology and Science Industries Are you good at problem solving and measuring things?
