Interview an Oceanographer
The ocean is huge, and scientists still know very little about it. That makes the field of oceanography a fascinating one, where some of the world’s greatest explorations and adventures are taking place.

Interview an oceanographer, a person who works at an aquarium, a boat captain, someone who fishes professionally, or some other person whose work involves the ocean. Find out about their job and about working on the ocean. What have they learned about the ocean? What questions do they have? What types of issues related to the ocean have they come across? Make a list of at least 10 questions such as these for your interview. Record the interview or take notes. Then summarize what you learn from the interview in a short article. Submit your article and your list of questions to your teacher.
