Columbus went exploring without any maps, GPS, or even a compass. How would you explore without a map? For this activity, put on a blindfold and go on a very careful expedition around your home. Be sure to ask someone to help you.
What is it like to move through your home without seeing? Have your friend lead you outside. What does the air smell like? What sounds do you hear? Touch a tree or another object outside. What does it feel like? Now go on a treasure hunt while blindfolded. Hold objects in your hands and try to guess what they are.
