In their Math notebook have your student write a division problem and label the dividend, the divisor and the quotient. Next have them describe what a remainder is. Finally have them write the steps for dividing by one digit divisors and how you can check a division problem.| For the activity in this lesson have your student solve the problems first before looking at the answer key. Before they check their answers have them go through it with you, as they explain how they got their answers and then have them check the answer key. Have them circle the ones they got wrong. Ask them to explain why they think they got it wrong and redo the problem.
