Remember that consumers are people who buy goods and services; producers are people who make or provide goods and services. In the mini-book below, you will follow Tom and Kate as they go on an adventure buying and selling things. It's your job to figure out which one is a consumer and which one is a producer.

Tom is selling lemonade at his lemonade stand. Is he a producer or a consumer? He is a producer because he is producing a good. 
Kate goes shopping at the store and buys a toy. Is she a producer or a consumer? She is a consumer because she is buying a good. 
Tom buys an ice cream cone from the ice cream cart in the park. Is he a producer or a consumer? Tom is a consumer because he is buying a good. 
Kate is selling friendship bracelets at school. Is she a producer or a consumer? She is a producer because she is selling a product. 
Tom is shoveling snow and charging five dollars per house. Is he a producer or a consumer? He is a producer because he is providing a service.
