Water Collage Assignment

Water is essential--all living things depend on it. Luckily, it’s one of the most abundant substances on Earth. Just take a look around your home! It probably won’t take you long to find water in all three states: solid, liquid, and gas.

As you look around, complete this activity to explore the states of water:

1. In your notebook, list examples of three states of water you observed in your home, and describe where you found them.
2. Give examples of three different states of water that exist outside your home. Explain how and when they are likely to change forms.
3. Using pictures or words, make a collage of all the ways in which humans, plants, and animals use water. Your creation should include examples of water in its solid, liquid, and gaseous states.
4. Take photos of your collage, and include those, along with a short description of your collage, on the class discussion board.
