You had some practice exchanging currency in the story you read about the kid explorers. Now it's your turn to do the math. In this game, you will be given the exchange rates of currencies from different countries. You will need to exchange the currency and find the cost of the item. (Remember to multiply the cost by the exchange rate to find the cost of the item in the new currency.)

Exchange rate: 1 Euro = 1.13 U.S. dollars
A basketball costs 20 euros. How many U.S. dollars would it cost?
20 x 1.13 = $22.60 U.S. dollars
Exchange rate: 1 U.S. dollar = 19.07 Mexican pesos
A pizza costs $10 U.S. dollars. How many pesos would it cost?
10 x 19.07 = 190.7 pesos
Exchange rate: 1 Japanese yen = .0091 U.S. dollars
A boat ride costs 1,600 yen. How many U.S. dollars would it cost?
1,600 x .0091 = $14.56 U.S. dollars
Exchange rate: 1 British pound = 1.30 U.S. dollars
An ice cream cone costs 7 pounds. How many U.S. dollars would it cost?
7 x 1.3 = $9.10 U.S. dollars
