Introduction to Drawing Methods

Art Tools You will create various pieces of art during this course where you will select a subject that you wish to draw. You will also need to decide what materials and tools will serve best for showing the qualities of the subject. This lesson will serve as an introduction to the various materials that you will be using during this course.

You will notice, for instance, that the lines made with a pencil have a very different quality from lines made with a pen.

Throughout this lesson you will be asked to try various techniques and answer questions on pieces of art included in the lesson. You can click the Print button below to download a worksheet that you can print out. You can also use separate pieces of paper that may work better with the drawing methods you will be experimenting with.

Review the rubric below to see how you will be graded on your assignment for this lesson.
