[MUSIC PLAYING] Your online course is definitely going to give your brain a workout. But to do your best, you also have to take good care of your body. It just takes a few minutes to set up a safer workspace that can keep you from getting distracted, tired out, or even injured.
Begin by sitting up straight, and support your lower back. Put your feet flat on the floor with your elbows and knees at 90-degree angles. Support your wrists when using keyboards, mice, or touch screens. Avoid repetitive motions or unnatural wrist postures.
Adjust your screen so it's level with your eye line. And look away from your monitor frequently to cut down on eyestrain. Take short breaks often. Stretch and exercise.
Make sure you have enough lights on in the room and a quiet environment. If you use headphones, protect your long-term hearing by keeping the volume low. Using these and other workspace tips will help you stay healthy, comfortable, and stress free as you learn online.
