Project A
Chose one of the cities that Marco Polo traveled to during his service to Kublai Khan. All of the cities are on this map. Research what that city would have been like at the end of the 13th century. Describe the culture, the geography, the climate, and several interesting facts about the city that Marco Polo would have noticed during his visit in your particular city.
Your essay should be at least 300 words and should include all of the topics that are listed above. Submit when finished.
Project B
Write a letter from Marco Polo to his mother during his stay in China. In your letter you need to describe Kublai Khan and how he is treating you.
You also need to describe the culture of the Yuan Dynasty and some of the things that stood out to Marco Polo. Do research on the Yuan Dynasty and be specific. Your essay should be 300 words and submit your essay when completed.
