Journal

In this lesson, you’ve learned about the definite articles le, la, and l’. You’ve learned when to use them and how to choose which definite article to use based on the gender of the noun. Now that you’ve had some practice, try the following writing exercise to check your progress.

Open a new word-processing document that will contain this module’s journal assignment. Copy and paste the prompt below at the top of the document and label the entry with this lesson’s title. Then, type a response to the prompt.

Write 3 simple sentences using the vocabulary from this lesson and the verbs être, avoir, or any other verb you’ve learned. Make sure to use the appropriate definite article (le, la, l’) for the nouns you choose.

When you have written a complete and detailed answer to the journal prompt, save the file so that you can open it again for the next lesson with a journal assignment. (You will submit your journal to your teacher for grading once or twice during the module.)
