In this lesson you will be learning about la famille, the family. Let’s start by listening to Mhina describe les membres de sa famille, the members of her family.
Bonjour! Je m’appelle Mhina. J’ai treize ans. Et voila, les membres de ma famille.
Dans ma famille, il y a ma mère, mon père, ma grande soeur, mes grandparents, ma petite soeur, et mon petit frère.
In my family, there are my mother, my father, my big sister, my grandparents, my little sister, and my little brother.
J’ai une mère. Elle s’appelle Delphine. Elle a trente-huit ans. Elle est sympathique et intelligente.
Comment s’appelle ta mère?
J’ai un père aussi (also). Il s’appelle Will. Il a trente-six ans. Il est petit et actif.
Quel âge a ton père?
J’ai une grande soeur. Elle a dix-sept ans. Elle s’appelle Évangèlique. Elle est grande, et elle a beaucoup d’amies.
Tu as une soeur?
J’ai deux grand-parents. Ma grand-mère s’appelle Louise. Elle a soixante- quatre ans. Elle est sérieuse et intelligente. Elle est professeur.
Et ta grand-mère, comment est-elle?
Mon grand-père s’appelle Lawrence. Il a soixante-sept ans. Il est amusant. Il fait du théatre. Il est acteur.
As-tu un acteur dans ta famille?
