It is the end of the school day and time for the announcements.

Don’t forget, Students, tonight is our annual social studies fair. Students who are participating should arrive at the gymnasium at 6:30 to set up. The fair begins at 7:00 o’clock.

David is excited to go to the social studies fair to see his friends’ visual presentations. They have been talking about them all week during lunch.

Amanda created a poster about geography. Amanda loved learning about maps and directions.

Michael did a computer presentation on climate. Michael says he enjoys learning about the different types of weather and how they affect our activities.

Nicole made a puppet show about holidays. Nicole was most interested in the way different cultures celebrate holidays. Her puppet show had puppets from different cultures acting out their holiday traditions.

Alex created a social studies book cover about economics. Alex chose the topic of advertising and drew an ad for a bicycle on his book cover.

Frankie drew a comic strip about changes in the United States. She decided to draw about the changes in schools over time.

David thinks his friends did a great with their visual presentations. He decides he wants to participate next year in the social studies fair.
