Goal: Learn how to compare metric lengths.

Alec and Dev want to know which car drove farther. We can compare the distance of each car using metric lengths. Metric lengths are measurements using the metric system, like centimeters and meters. Length measures how high, long, or wide something is.

First, we need to decide which form of measurement to use.

The blue car drove farther than the red car! We can compare these two lengths by subtracting the red car’s distance from the blue car’s distance.
