Technique: If you are just learning this skill, have an adult help you. They can put their hands under your back until you are comfortable. Hold your arms out to the side, like an airplane. Take a big breath and relax your body. Slowly lay your head back into the water. Let your feet float up to the top of the water. You can keep them close to each other or spread them out so you look like a star. Breathe slowly and stay relaxed. Tensing will make your body sink.
