And now for the topic everyone’s been waiting for: how to check your grades! Your current grade for each class is shown on the course card. To view details, click the grades icon.
You'll see a list of your coursework that is initially sorted by Grading Categories. We encourage students change their view by selecting the Syllabus Order tab.
The Syllabus view lets you see your work in the order it is assigned. It also allows you to quickly notice if you are falling behind.
Keep an eye on the target due dates. If they’re shown in red, that means your work is in danger of being late. Don’t fall behind as it becomes harder and harder to catch up.
Your teacher will give you personalized feedback on your assignments. To view teacher feedback, click the comment bubble next to the grade. You can also view teacher feedback in the Activity Stream on your homepage.
Always read your instructor’s feedback closely, and pay attention to their suggestions for improvement. Teachers can also attach annotated work and other documents. Look for returned work in the Grades Details screen, or the Activity Stream.
To view all course grades, select the main menu icon, then choose Grades.
Here you can see the grades for all the classes you’re taking this term. You can get a hard copy of your current grades by clicking the print icon.
You can also customize what type of info you’d like to see by clicking the Edit Visible Columns icon. For example, you might want to show the end date for your courses, or hide the self-assessment column.
Click on any course to bring up a detailed view of your grades for that class.
Let’s look at some of the tools in your online gradebook that are designed to help you stay on track and do your best in your classes.
The FOR ME tab displays extra resources your teachers may have assigned you for support.
The What-If Calculator helps you see what your grade might be based on projected future scores. This is helpful for knowing what your goals should be on future assignments. You can also see an overview of all Activity for a course, and keep track of your learning progress under Objective Mastery, if available.
Now you’re on your way to earning those As in your online classes!
When you access your grades in your grade book, you will only be able to view your information. None of your classmates' information is available to you. All student information remains confidential, as required by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
