Peter and Oliver are on their way to the park to meet their friends to play freeze tag.

What’s that smell?

There’s garbage everywhere! On the ground, in the water, and oh no! Animals are getting stuck in it!

Oliver and Peter meet up with their friends and decide to do something about it.

They get bins for trash, different kinds of recycling, and compost. The kids get started right away.

Rosie throws a banana peel in the compost bin. Oliver tosses a plastic bottle in the plastic recycling bin, and Kiara places some newspapers in the paper bin. The kids pick up all the trash and sort it into the right bins.

Maddie and Peter clean the pond with nets. Peter fishes out a tin can, and Maddie finds an old boot.

Enrique and Kiara find pieces of wood they can turn into something else. They decide to make a bird house later.

Now, the animals are happy and able to run around the park and swim in the pond without getting stuck in trash.

That was a lot of work, but it was worth it. The kids want to teach the town to throw away their trash properly, so they make posters.

They hang the posters all around town.

But that’s not all. Officer Pax says they can use the compost to make a town garden for everyone to enjoy!
