How many equal parts did Caleb partition the posterboard into?

Caleb is helping at the RC Car race. Each racer will get to drive their RC Car around the racetrack 3 different times. The racer with the fastest average time will be declared the winner. Caleb is helping keep track of each racer's times. He grabs a piece of poster board to write down everyone's times. Click through the slides below to see how he keeps track of their times.
He starts by drawing a large rectangle. There are 6 racers, so he draws lines equally spaced across the posterboard for each racer.
Each racer will get to race their car around the track 3 different times. He draws lines equally spaced down the paper so that there is a column for each of the racers’ 3 attempts.
Outside the rectangle, he puts the racers’ names and the attempt numbers. When Caleb is finished, he shows his drawing to the timekeeper of the race. “That looks awesome!” the timekeeper says. “You did a great job partitioning that posterboard!”
