Swimming Lemon Shark

Remora

  • Sucker fish that lives around and attaches to sharks
  • They eat scraps from sharks
  • Sharks allow their presence because the remora eat parasites from the shark’s skin (some even eat from inside the shark’s mouth!)

Space Bacteria and Fungi

  • Microscopic life similar to bacteria and fungi found on Earth
  • Adapted to be weightless and withstand higher levels of radiation and carbon dioxide
  • Survive on the International Space Station despite intensive cleanings

Describe the mutual relationship between sharks and remora and how they both benefit from one another.
