Action: Hopping and jumping are very similar. Both are a way to propel the body into the air. Jumping for distance is when you try to jump as far as you can.
Technique:
Stand with your heels slightly off the ground.
Swing your arms back behind your and bend your knees.
Throw your arms forward and use your legs to push yourself into the air.
For a smaller jump, you can just use your legs to push your body into the air.
