Pet Parade

The kids are getting ready for a fun day. Today, they are having a pet parade in their neighborhood. Let’s see if you can name all the simple machines you see along the way.

First up are Oliver and his dog Shadow. Look at Shadow pulling Oliver down the street!

Oliver waves to Rosie and Kiara on the ramp in front of Rosie’s house. A ramp is a simple machine called an inclined plane.

The girls want to join the parade with Rosie’s cat, Sushi. They put her in a wagon and pull her behind with their bicycles. How many wheels and axles can you find?

Enrique chases Mr. Muffin all over the street. It’s such tiring work. He unscrews the top of his water bottle to take a drink. Can you see the simple machine?

Here comes Maddie with her dog, Puff, in a wheelbarrow. Can you find the lever and the wheel and axle?

She pushes him to the park to end the parade where Peter is waiting.

They all make it to the park to play! What a fun day at the pet parade.
