Create a Picture Graph

I want to make a picture graph for my toys. Can you please help me? Let’s start with the title. The title should tell what the graph is showing. What should our title be?

Yes, let’s title the graph, “My Toys.” There are many toys so we need to decide what our categories are and assign a picture for each.

Let’s do toys with wheels, stuffed animals, and balls.

Next, we need to go through the toy box and see how many toys we have in each category.

Let’s start with my toys with wheels. Please count how many I have. Great! I have 6 toys with wheels, so we will draw 6 toy cars to represent these toys.

This is how our graph looks so far. Now, let’s count how many stuffed animals I have.

How many stuffed animals are there? Great! We will use a teddy bear to represent stuffed animals. Let’s draw 5 of those on the graph.
