Daniel is having his friends over for a party this weekend. He is planning to have different activities setup around his backyard for everyone to do. He wants to map out where each activity should go. On a piece of paper, Daniel draws this 4-sided shape to represent his backyard:
As he is drawing, Daniel’s mom walks by him. She stops, looks at his paper, and says, “That’s a nice parallelogram you drew.” Daniel looks at her confused and says, “I didn’t draw a parallelogram. This is a rectangle.”

What shape did Daniel draw? Was it a rectangle or a parallelogram?
