What is fill-in-the-blank? How can I use one in a lesson?

Fill-in-the-Blank is an activity designed to test and enhance comprehension skills. Given a Word Bank with a selection of words, students will type these words into the corresponding blanks within the text. On submit, the blanks will change color to indicate correct or incorrect answers.
