You've probably heard the word logic used before. Logic can be used to describe the science behind the way people make decisions or arrive at valid conclusions. But logic also has a less formal meaning--it can simply mean the quality of making sense. If something is logical, it makes sense to most people who hear about it.

Generally, when people apply the term logical to a form of communication, they mean that the message is organized in a way that makes sense, given the topic and purpose of the message. When you arrange your ideas logically, you're choosing an organizational style that works well for the information you want to communicate. For example, if you're describing a series of events, a logical approach would be to describe them in the order in which they occurred. If you're trying to persuade an audience that your idea is a good one, you may want to present your "big idea" first, and then provide details that help to support your idea.
