You have learned about some of the common bacterial and viral sexually transmitted infections. Some can be cured, and others can be managed. But none of them just goes away on its own. At this point, you have enough knowledge about STIs to offer good advice to some people who need it.
Re-read the scenario about Raquel and Theo at the beginning of this lesson. It seems likely that Theo gave Raquel an STI. Now, consider the following questions:
Could Theo be telling the truth? That is, could he not know he has an STI? How is that possible?
What should Raquel do now to protect her health? What should Theo do? And what about the person who infected Theo?
