By now you should have some ideas about how the society or culture we live in shapes our attitudes about sexuality and our ideas about gender roles. Generally, one's culture and society dictate what is and is not acceptable behavior, based on shared values and beliefs.

Do you feel traditional gender roles and stereotypes fit in today's society. For example, should women stay home and raise children, prepare meals, and keep the house clean? Should jobs such as police officers, firefighters, and CEOs be dominated by men only? Explain why you feel these are or are not appropriate in today's society.

Do you feel men should be more "masculine" and not show their emotions? Why or why not?
