How many questions do you ask every day? Asking questions in Spanish is a great skill. If there is an event that you want to attend, asking questions will make sure that you have all the details. It's a great way to learn about events, others, and any other topic that interests you.
Asking Simple Yes or No Questions
Sometimes a yes or no answer is all you need.
Here are a few steps to follow to write and ask a question.
- The verb comes first in a question, followed by the subject.
- Change the pitch of your voice as you ask a question aloud.
- Look at this statement: Ana habla español.
- Listen to it below.
It can be written as a yes or no question by adding the upside down question mark and rearranging the subject and verb. Listen to the audio. Do you notice how the voice changes when asking a question? ¿Habla Ana español?
Following these steps, rewrite each statement into a yes or no question. It is a good practice to write out your answers in your notebook. Then click the statements to compare your answers to ours.
