Asking Simple Yes or No Questions

Sometimes a yes or no answer is all you need.

Here are a few steps to follow to write and ask a question.

  • The verb comes first in a question, followed by the subject.
  • Change the pitch of your voice as you ask a question aloud.
  • Look at this statement: Ana habla español.
  • Listen to it below.

It can be written as a yes or no question by adding the upside down question mark and rearranging the subject and verb. Listen to the audio. Do you notice how the voice changes when asking a question? ¿Habla Ana español?
