You’re super excited about an upcoming day at the beach!

While you’re there, you plan to play games with different beach balls.

Do you recognize the shape of a beach ball?

It is a sphere.

Spheres are all around you!

For instance, there are basketballs, golf balls, softballs, bowling balls, tennis balls...and that's just sports.

Then, there are microphones, globes, holiday ornaments, blueberries, snowmen, and scoops of ice cream!

Is there enough space in the car for the beach balls?

To know how much space the balls take up, you can calculate their volume.

In this lesson, you will learn the formula used to calculate the volume of a sphere.

You will also work on identifying spheres in the world around you.
