Practice Classifying Animals

If an animal has an asymmetrical body plan, it is classified as phylum Porifera. If it has a radial body plan, it is classified as phylum Cnidaria. Most animals have a bilateral body plan; therefore, there are many phyla that have bilaterally symmetrical animals. Try to remember what phylum each bilaterally symmetrical animal in the pictures below belongs to. Once you have your answer, click on the picture to see if you are correct.

Now, match the animal with its corresponding phyla by dragging the circle next to animal to the circle next to the correct phylum.
