You have been working hard on words that have the ŭ sound in them. Today, you are going to listen carefully to words and every time you hear the ŭ sound, JUMP UP!! Just like the jumping bug.
Listen to this sentence:
The tub has suds in it.
Did you hear any words that had the ŭ sound in it?
Yes! You did. “Tub” and “suds” both have the short u sound in them.
Jump up two times for those words.
It is fun to run in the sun.
