It's time to start planning our piece of writing for this week: retelling. Yesterday, we read a retelling of "The Tortoise and the Hare." It explained all of the important parts of the story by including the characters, the setting, and the important plot points.
Today, you will write down all of the important details from "The Country Mouse and the City Mouse."

When you are finished, please keep your paper in a safe place. You will need it tomorrow when you write your rough draft.
