World in Which the Ant Lives

Begin by observing the space or world in which the ant lives.

Now it's time to record your observations in your Lesson Book. Steps:

1. How large is the area that the ant considers to be his world? Draw the ant’s world in your Science Main Lesson Book.
2. What activities take place in the ant's world daily? What do the different ants in the colony do? Do they have different jobs? Write a few sentences at the top of the picture of the ant’s world in the Science Main Lesson Book.
3. What threats exist in the ant’s world? How does the ant respond to these threats? Are there friendly creatures in the ant's world that help him with his daily activities?
4. What food does the ant eat and how does he get this food? Draw a picture of the ant’s food. Write a few additional sentences into your Science Main Lesson Book.
