Today, we will look at the -al spelling pattern. This pattern may sound different based on the word. Read the different ways words can sound with this pattern. Then, listen to hear the -al sounds below. When you have finished, play the game to review the -al sound.The -al spelling pattern has different sounds.
It can sound like a soft /o/, as in stalk.
It may have the /l/ sound included, as in malt.
